Diversità genetica di specie ittiche nel Fiume Lamone (Toscana) mediante marcatori molecolari iSSR
Abstract
The aim of the present research was to study the genetic variability, through iSSR markers, of four different fish species (brown trout, barb, blageon, South European nase) caught in four different sites of the Lamone river (Tuscany). DNA was extracted by caudal fin and amplified with 8 different iSSR markers. The results showed that blageon and brown trout populations presented low variability probably due to the reduced number of sampled animals for the former species and to the presence of restocking animals for the latter. Barb population presented hidden substructures not only due to geographical isolation. A more exhaustive investigation could be useful to explain this result.
